JESUS CHRIST!
I know a lot of people who swear with these words. But, I also know a lot of other people who swear by them.
Maybe you feel that the teachings of Jesus should play a more important part in your life, but you just don't know how. Maybe you are searching. Maybe you are seeking. Maybe you are hoping to find a place where you "fit."
Maybe you are like so many people who are looking for a church home but just haven't been able to make the connection. Some folks feel put upon by all the "do's and don'ts" some churches demand. Some folks can't quite swallow all the dogma some churches insist upon. So, it's easier for them to go fishing, or golfing, or just stay in bed on Sunday mornings... but the emptiness is still there.
Well, my friends, there is an alternative. Payne Avenue Christian Church practices and encourages simplicity of belief and worship. We like a down-to-earth religion, a faith that helps us cope with and understand every day life. We think that we can agree to disagree about some things. We think every individual has the right and responsibility to read and interpret the Bible for him/herself and build a faith through an understanding of God's Word.
